Where to Fish
This is where you implement all your preparation and planning. The conventional angler are always confronted by the question, "Where to Fish".
Select you fishing spot based on your knowledge of the fish. If they like to feed in shallow or deep water, near plant growth on the shore or maybe structures they prefer. Also do proper research on the venue and the opportunities available.
The determining factor will be the weather conditions. But let’s look at the normal setup.
I don't not believe that we as anglers realize the importance of precision casting. After all your effort in preparing your bait, you must select the best area to place it.
Start with a short cast and a maximum casting distance. This is to determine where the fish is feeding. There are two methods you can use.
These technics can work, but be aware of the fact that you need to adapt to conditions. The biggest mistake made by anglers is to change your baits and not the location of your casting. You may cast 5 or 10 meters from structure where the fish may feed, but you change your bait and maybe the bait would work if you only selected the structure.
I know we do not always know the layout of the bottom surface, but we need to look at surface activity and also rely on research done.
If you commit to a specific spot or casting distance, use it to your advantage by applying what you have learned and your identity as an angler.
NB !!!! The decisions we make and how we adapt will determine your success.
