SPECIAL COMBINATIONS...

Combinations and "WHAT WE USE" is certainly the most sort after information for Anglers. We normally focus on this for our fishing results and rely heavily on what Baits and Flavorings will provide us with the BEST opportunity to catch fish.

The warring factor is that we base our fishing success on that other say or what we see advertised, this has a major influence on our IDENTITY as fisherman. Remember that it is important to take in consideration what to use at various venues, but you need to apply this in your own fishing identity. This database of information together with your arsenal of skills will put you in the BEST possible position to catch fish.

Anglers have been starved from the knowledge to build their own list of Combinations. The benefit of this innovative skill lies in the confidence you gather as an angler.

CREATE YOUR OWN SPECIAL COMBINATIONS

Fishing Combinations by definition is the Arrangement / Permutations / Codes / Patterns / Orders / Sequences of flavorings and baits as used on your RIG or TRACE. It is important to notice that HOOK BAITS / FEEDS and SHAKES (powders) must be included to each combination. To start understanding the makeup of a combination, we firstly need to take a look at Flavorings.

FLAVORING

Let’s look at the differences and how to use your flavours.

• ESSENCE - This is a basic flavour that is not diluted and carries no base or colorant.
• DIP - This is a single flavour that carries a base and colorant.
• DUPA - This is a mixture of flavours that carries a base and colorant with added protein. Also known as BALL DIPS.
• MUTI- This is a combination of flavours that has proved itself to work as a COMBO.
• SPRAY - This is a Dip / Muti / Dupa with a thinner base to allow a spray mist when applied.
• CREAMS - This is creamy flavours with enhanced characteristics that allows you to use a ALL IN ONE product that provides everything needed to attract fish to bait.

Remember to use your flavours on your feed. It is only in rare conditions that you will apply this to hook baits. The reason is that the sole purpose of flavours is to attract the fish and is not eaten by the fish because it will have be diluted or gone and only leave a sent trail.

In warm conditions or then the water is oxygenated by wind, use less amount of liquids as the fish are more active and do not need much encouragement to take your bait. The opposite is true when the water is still and it is cold. Use as much liquids as you can to attract the fish as they are more docile.

A combination of flavours is made up of;

• CARRIERS - This is flavours with high volumes of protein. This the reason why fish feeds and thus you compliment it.
• CALLERS - This is stronger flavour that travels far to attract the fish to your bait.
• FEEDERS - This the more fruity flavours witch triggers the fish to feed.
• ALL IN ONE - This products is the ULTIMATE in Freshwater Fishing and can be used as is or with any other flavoring.

HOOK BAITS

Please note that all baits we use is NOT the natural food source for fish, but presented as a imitation thereof. The more enticing your hook bait is presented and the more it compliments the conditions when fishing, it also must compliment the feeding patens of fish.

We normally use hook baits by habit and do not give it the expected attention. By changing the position, the size, the shape and combination thereof with other hook baits, you will achieve maximum results. This is the BUSINESS END of things and should be allowed enough attention. How your hook bait is presented with regards to its buoyancy and in relation to your RIG, will contribute towards your results.

Hook baits combinations it made up of;

• THE HEAD - This is the main feather (spotter) on the hook. It is the element that fish will focus on and provides stability to your hook bait.
• THE BODY - This is the complimenting aspect of hook baits that provides support. Remember that it can be used as the "HEAD" also.

FEED

The feed you use it the biggest feather of your RIG and thus the importance thereof as part of your COMBINATION. Please visit our ARTICLE section to read more on that is important when choosing feed. Feed is the main carrier of your flavourings and influences the presentation of your hook baits. Take care in the preparation of your feed as its critical to achieve your goals when fishing.

SHAKES (powders)

The purpose of Shakes is firstly to imitate feeding fish. As fish disturb the sediment when they feed, it creates a cloud that attract other fish. Powders also assist in creating vertical and horizontal feeding zones. Air pressure / temperature and oxygen forces fish to feed on various levels. Your powders will lure fish from these levels to your baits. The most important characteristic of SHAKES must be its PROTEIN value.
