Getting Started
Before we start to look at how to catch fish, or what we need or what to do, we need to start at the beginning.
This is certainly the most NB aspect you will need to know to be a successful Carp Angler !
Know your target specie
Let me start by asking this question -
How must time and money have you spend on Carp Angling ? What is the results ? Most people I know have spend thousands of their hard earned money without the desired results.
WHY?
You need to first study and learn more about the species you target. The more you do this, the better and more effective decisions you will make when fishing. The better your results will be as you can adapt to circumstances to compliment the behavior of your target species.
Let's take Carp as an example. The primary reason for the existence of this specie is to eat and multiply. This scientific fact allows us to then understand that all decisions we make as Bank Anglers should compliment the core behavior of Carp. It means that Carp hunts energy and energy translate to protein. It is then clear to us that all decisions we make must be to ensure that we should focus on protein when fishing for Carp...
As we study and understand the specie more, we will note that feeding patens and behavior will influence every decision we make. What is very confusing to me is that most anglers that really struggle when fishing will base all decisions on marketing efforts as published and what others say and do. Do we not see that this deprives us from developing a identity as Anglers?
We will buy dips and brands based on marketing efforts. We will make decisions based on what we like and more.
START BY MAKING DECISIONS TO COMPLIMENT THE SELECTED SPECIE !
Note that there is only 1 thing that can influence the behavior or freshwater fish and nature. THE WEATHER !
Start to study and understand more things about your selected species and take note of what can influence it and your results will improve.
We experience so many challenges when fishing that we need to equip ourselfs with all relative information to ensure fishing success.
